Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s journey from the rural villages of the former Transkei to becoming a global icon, The Icon’s Journey Marathon celebrates South Africa’s rich heritage, history, and the power of sport for social change.

The Icon's Journey traces Madiba’s footsteps through meaningful cultural and tourism landmarks, including the birthplaces and legacy sites of iconic freedom fighters such as Chris Hani, Walter Sisulu, Dr. A.B. Xuma, Mama Albertina Sisulu, King Sabata Dalindyebo, and General Bantu Holomisa.
