The Icon's Journey Marathon (a proud member of Proudly South African) presents to you it's 6th annual multi-sporting event.
The Icon’s Journey Marathon vision was inspired by President Nelson Mandela’s journey of growing up in the rural villages of the former Transkei homeland to becoming a Global Icon.
Cyclists will be peddling against the 61km apex connecting the two towns: Port St. Johns and Mthatha.

RACE INFO
Race starts at Ntlaza Caltex Garage via R61 to Qokolweni Mahodini and Finish at Nelson Mandela Museum.
It is a requirement of ASA and CSA that participants of running and cycling races require a license, either a permanent one (purchased through your club) or a temporary one.
Temporary license fee: R65
Route:
*Start Ntlaza Caltex Garage.
*Proceed on R61 towards Mthatha.
*Turn left at Bernard Schultz Drive towards Ngangelizwe.
*Turn right on Thembu road.
*Turn left on Tutor Ndamase Drive towards Qokolweni.
*Make a U-Turn at Mahodini Store in Qokolweni.
*Ride past Mbuqe, Khwezi on *Tutor Ndamase Avenue towards Mthatha CBD.
*Turn left on Nelson Mandela Drive and finish at Nelson Mandela Museum.
Start & Cut Off Times:
61km - Ntlaza Caltex Garage to Nelson Mandela Museum.
• Start at 07:00.
• Cut off 12:00.
RACE PACKS TO BE COLLECTED AT THE EXPO ON 19 JULY 2024.
MEDALS TO ALL FINISHERS - TO BE COLLECTED ON RACE DAY.
NO RACE ENTRIES WILL BE SOLD ON RACE DAY.
