


400KM ICONIC CHALLENGE

In July 2021, 15 social runners ran from Fort Hare University in Alice to Mvezo village in 8 days covering a total distance of 400km. The aim was to raise enough funds to benefit 4000 rural / township school boys and girls with school shoes, sanitary towels & sports kits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
RULES OR CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS:

The applicant must be at least 18 years or older.

The application is open to everyone in South Africa.

We are looking for 20 runners for the 400km Iconic Challenge Fundraising initiative.

If the applicant is approved and decides not to run anymore, the applicant needs to advise The Icon's Journey Marathon Organising Committee 4 weeks prior to the event.
WHAT RUNNERS MUST KNOW:

The 400km Iconic Challenge fundraising initiative takes place on the 03rd July 2022 to the 10th July 2022 in the Eastern Cape.The run cuts through Eastern Cape’s Resistance & Liberation Heritage Route.

The 20 social runners will take part in an 8 days 400km charity run to raise funds that will benefit school boys and girls from underprivileged communities.

The Icon’s Journey Marathon is liable for the logistics around the event.
